Biography

I am a PhD student and Research Assistant at the Centre for Neuroscience in Education (CNE), the Centre for Child, Adolescent and Family Research (CAFR) and the Cambridge Mind and Brain Institute at University of Cambridge. Before joining CNE, I completed my MPhil in Psychology at Cambridge and a BEng in Computer Science at Tongji University, China.

My current research focuses on understanding how rhythmic features of speech, such as amplitude and frequency modulations, contribute to children’s language development. By applying the Temporal Sampling Framework to cross-linguistic speech production data, I investigate neural and acoustic markers distinguishing developmental dyslexia and developmental language disorder, with the goal of advancing early diagnosis through AI-based analysis.

Additionally, I am interested in developing brain–computer interfaces (BCIs) for language disorders, exploring EEG foundation models, and investigating the clinical applications of machine learning methods to neuroimaging data.
